Energy Infrastructure
Xplorate offers Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) infrastructure and asset inspection services for pipelines, powerlines and key in-field structures. RPAS technology provides a safe and efficient approach to inspections, reducing the exposure of inspection crews to a range of workplace risk. Our data management and AI processing facilities enables the client to detect and react to any changes in infrastructure and surrounding areas.
Using LiDAR and photogrammetry for asset inspection and anomaly detection in pipelines and other critical infrastructure, coupled with data analytics, allows for the identification of key points of interest, informing remediation and preventative maintenance priorities.
Utilising advanced LiDAR sensors, Xplorate can generate true colour point cloud models in real-time. These units render centimetre accurate reconstructions thanks to its high-precision IMU, a vision sensor for positioning accuracy and the incorporation of GNSS data. The units can be operated in rain or foggy conditions and are capable of flight at night.

Digital replication of assets
Xplorate can create 3D photogrammetry/LiDAR imagery of key assets. These digital models are being used for planning purposes, simulations, asset management, modification design, repair and maintenance.
3D replicas of key assets, such as wellheads, processing equipment, compression systems, and communication towers, provide asset managers with detailed insights into the condition of these assets, enabling informed decisions on maintenance prioritisation.
Environmental Management
Xplorate specialises in gas leak detection and concentration measurement using advance sensors and optics to detect and visualise leaks. In addition to the detection and localisation of gas leaks, Xplorate also offers quantification services, providing accurate emissions flow rates based on the Drone Flux Measurement (DFM) method to support OGMP 2.0 Level 5 climate and air quality actions. Our sensor suite and data-driven method helps our clients to understand their GHG baseline, document their emissions and track their reduction initiatives.
Xplorate utilises the same quantification sensors and DFM method to determine flare efficiency. In addition, LiDAR and RGB are employed to inspect flare tips and create a measurable 3D digital model for detailed future evaluation and comparison.
